Spring is here!

Spring is my favourite time of year; it’s all about new beginnings and transformation.

The changes in nature all become very apparent so quickly and they make such a difference in creating a new profound energy.

The ideas of spring and ‘springtime’ refer to rebirth, renewal, regrowth, resurrection and rejuvenation.

We are all so thankful for the new season after months of cold, damp and dark weather often referred to as the winter blues. Spring reawakens us, boosts our positive mental energy and can connect us with nature again.

The fresh spring breeze, bursting flora and fauna, expanding birdsong, warmer weather, longer days, new scents and smells all heighten our sensory experiences and gifts of Spring.

Some uplifting changes in the landscape that tell me Spring is here are the crisp white blackthorn blossom, hawthorn leaves breaking, yellow displays from daffodils and gorse bushes. Camelia and Magnolia displays are lighting up different gardens and there is a broader interest in being outdoors again.

Over the coming weeks we will also start to see various other broadleaved trees bursting into life with the fresh lime green translucent leaves glowing. Embrace the season, be present and absorb all what was worth waiting for.
